Golfkeel Self-Catering Cottages

Golfkeel Cottages were sympathetically converted from barns dating back from over 240 years and visitors from all over the world have experienced and enjoyed their individual charm.

For those who enjoy self-catering accommodation, Oonagh and John O'Neill, offer a choice between Dovedale, The Loft and Oatfield cottages.

The cottages are detached; situated within private grounds, with secure private parking, and have spectacular views of the Mountains of Mourne and the panoramic surrounding countryside.

'Dovedale Cottage'

The cottages sleeps up to six people, have three ensuite bedrooms with Super King Size beds which can be converted to six single beds and three bathrooms; cots are available and there is car parking for four vehicles.

'The Loft'

The accommodation is luxurious, decorated and furnished to a very high standard with all modern facilities, including remote control television & DVD player, direct dial telephone, computer/phone points; a small library of books and oil fired central heating.

'Oatfield'

The cottages have extremely comfortable family sized accommodation, complemented by traditional features which include pine floors, wood burning stoves, private furnished gardens, complete with patio and barbeque areas and the furniture and fitting were especially chosen and designed to give a relaxed country feeling.

This popular caravan park is situated on the Ards Peninsula and has direct access, with exclusive use, to a safe sandy beach.

There is a designated area for touring caravans.

The Gate Lodge is a charming, listed, single-storey building, designed by Charles Lanyon and built in 1850 to compliment Ballywalter Park Mansion House and has been completely refurbished to a very high standard to provide excellent four star self catering accommodation.

It is situated within the Ballywalter Park demesne approximately half a mile from Ballywalter village and is a mere 200 yards from Ballywalter's mile-long sandy beach.

This charming property offers all modern facilities for up to four people and comprises an Entrance Hall, Kitchen/Breakfast Room with automatic oil-fired range, providing cooking facilities, central heating and hot water, a comfortable sitting room with open fire, one Double Bedroom, one Twin Bedroom, Bathroom with WC, bath with fixed shower and wash hand basin and Private Garden.
Electricity and heating is included and bed linen and towels are supplied. A travel cot and high chair are available at no extra charge but please note that cot linen is NOT provided.

Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement, although access to parts of the Estate may be restricted during the shooting season.

This is an ideal choice for people who love outdoor activities as golfing, fishing, cycling, sailing, horse-riding, pony-trekking and there is an all-weather tennis court close by.

It provides a good base for touring the beautiful Ards peninsula and the National Trust properties at Mount Stewart and Castle Ward.

Many of Northern Ireland's most beautiful attractions are within easy reach and there is the added bonus of using the Strangford Lough car ferry to visit the historic town of Downpatrick and the Mourne Mountains.

The City of Belfast is within 40 minutes drive time and both the City and International Airports and the Port of Belfast Ferry Terminals are easily accessible.
