Ballynester House has been awarded five AA's for Bed & Breakfast hospitality and Self Catering accommodation.

Visitors will be thrilled with the location on the East coast of Ireland in the heart of the Ards Penninsula which provides a lovely sheltered feel.

There are panoramic views across Strangford Lough and of the breathtakingly beautiful scenic countryside.

Guests will be able to enjoy a wide choice of breakfast dishes which are served in the bright dining room with freshly brewed coffee, a selection of teas, freshly squeezed orange juice and a varied selection of starters and home baked breads available.

Ballynester House also offer the same high standard of accommodation in an adjoining self-catering lodge.

200-year-old reclaimed pitch pine beams and old Belfast brick have been used to create a rustic homely atmosphere to welcome visitors to this comfortable accommodation, which has been sympathetically designed to reflect the feel of the surrounding countryside with panoramic views and glorious sunsets over the lough to enjoy.

Facilities at Abbey Lodge include two bedrooms sleeping up to four, all bed linen and towels are provided, central heating, double glazing, log effect wood burning stove, a fully fitted kitchen with washing machine / tumbledryer, double oven & hob, microwave, fridge, electric toaster, a comfortable lounge with television and video.

There is a telephone on site, private garden with BBQ, picnic table and chairs, private parking, a baby cot and high chair are available on request and a complimentary Welcome Pack is provided.

This is an ideal choice for visitors who enjoy outdoor activites, including golfing, angling, cycling, horse-riding and hiking, which are all close by as well as being near to many places of historical interest and attractions.
